THE CHARACTERS

SANCHO
.
Sancho, AKA Jose Maria Garcia, is a paranormal adventurer who used to be a Roman Catholic priest, and a member of a secret Vatican organisation called Victory -- a crack squad of exorcists, who travelled the world battling demons, zombies, vampires and possessed naked ladies (Sancho's particular favourite ;)).

He went freelance in 1978 after a disagreement with Pope John Paul (1st, not 2nd) and in 1986 he retired to obscurity in his homeland of Mexico. In 2003 Sancho was back in the saddle again, teaming up with a couple of old (and I mean OLD) pals to battle his own personal demon, a battle in which he died. But! In 2006, after a disagreement with God at the Pearly Gates, following his release from Purgatory, he was banished from back to Earth from Heaven. Which was a pity, 'cause he coulda done with the rest.

However, although Sancho's 72, he now looks and feels kinda 40-ish, so it all worked out. He's still kinda mad at God, though.

Tom Frost
.
Tom Frost is Sancho's six-inch-sidekick (TM) and acts as his familiar and magickal focus in his spellmaking. Tom is a pookah, an elemental entity drawn from the aether to follow the bidding of a demonic master -- for better or worse, having vanquished the demon in question, poor old Sancho has gotten stuck with him.

Willie O'Malley
.
Willie is an elderly ex-priest, friend and confidant of Sancho. Having lost his eyesight while having a bit of a barney with demon Baal-Beryth, Sancho feels a duty of care towards his old friend. Willie, naturally, is having none of it.

Baal-Beryth
.
A demon who has possessed Sancho through all his incarnations up until the present one who happened to be somewhat of a good egg, much to Ball-Beryths disappointment.

Fr Donatello Cagliore
.
Sancho's mentor in V2, the Vatican's crack exorcism unit. Currently deceased.

Pope John Paul I
.
Bigwig in the Roman Catholic church, died in mysterious circumstances in September 1978.

Lawrence Stock
.
Oil and plastics tycoon, employer of Sancho in a paranormal investigative capacity in the late 1980s.

Abigail Front
.
Close friend of Sancho and step-daughter of Lawrence Stock.
